When you RSVP to an event, we ask for your name and phone number, that is all. When you create an organizer account, we also ask for your email address. We collect basic usage data like which pages you visit, but nothing beyond what is needed to run the platform.
2. Why we collect it
Your name and phone number let organizers confirm your attendance and reach you if anything changes about the event. Your email is used to send you account-related notifications like event approvals. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.
3. WhatsApp
eKiree is built around WhatsApp, it is how people here communicate. When you RSVP to an event and provide your phone number, the organizer may contact you on WhatsApp about that specific event. If you ever want to stop receiving messages, just let the organizer know or message us directly.
4. What organizers can see
When you RSVP, the organizer of that event can see your name and phone number so they can manage attendance. They agree to our terms before using the platform and are not allowed to use your details for anything unrelated to the event.
5. How we store your data
Your data is stored on secure servers in Europe. We use industry-standard encryption and access controls. No system is 100% foolproof, but we take this seriously and do everything reasonable to protect your information.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, just enough to keep you logged in as an organizer and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not share data with ad networks.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show you what data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your account entirely. Just message us on WhatsApp at +252 63 4110345 or email [email protected] and we will sort it out.
8. Children
eKiree is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has signed up, please contact us and we will remove their data immediately.
9. When this policy changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will let organizers know via email. For everyone else, the updated version will always be available at this page. Continuing to use eKiree after a change means you are okay with the new policy.
